East End spot on to lift Morrison Cup

1 year ago By Richard Easton

East End 1 Longside 1 (East End win 3-2 on penalties)

East End won the AM Property Maintenance Morrison Cup after a dramatic final at The Meadows.

East End led through Callum Dunbar's early second half strike and looked to be holding out until a horrendous defensive mix up allowed Longside's Bailey Simpson to scramble home an equaliser with virtually the last kick of the game.

Longside missed two of their opening three penalties which gave Dunbar the chance to win it for East End but the drama continued as his spot kick was kept out by Ian Summers, but East End it won when keeper Rhys Leiper saved Longside's last penalty.
