Inverness City to take a year out

Club go into abeyance

Inverness City are to take a year out of Junior Football.

The Highlanders - who were relegated from the Superleague last week - had hoped to move to a new facility on the outskirts of the city, but the facility is unlikely to be ready for the start of the season and the club felt that playing out of another facility outwith the city would not be cost effective and that they would struggle to attract players.

The club will remain as non-playing members of the association and hope to return in season 2019/20.
