Nairn St Ninian clinched the double by beating holders Islavale 5-4 on penalties to lift the Elginshire Cup after a goal-less draw at Borough Briggs.

Saints keeper James Kendall was the hero saving three of Islavale's penalties including Craig Simpson's effort in sudden death after Simon Hill had converted Nairn's seventh effort.

Colin Mason had previously failed to land Saints the trophy when he fired over the last of the regulation spot kicks.

Nairn now go into their Dominos Pizza North Regional Cup semi final with Banks o' Dee with their dreams of a treble winning season still alive.
